Solution:

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fan motor and shroud, extend the wiring and re-orient the fan motor to reduce the risk of corrosion, free of charge.  Remedy parts are currently unavailable.  Interim notices were mailed to owners, notifying them of the safety recall, on January 5, 2017.  Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available.  Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM’s number for this recall is 16145.
